What is the TFT PBE?
PBE (Public Beta Environment) is the official Riot test server where upcoming TFT patches and new sets appear before release. Anyone can join for free, there are no requirements. The PBE account is separate from your main one.
How to create a TFT PBE account?
Open the PBE sign-up page on the official League of Legends site and fill in the form with an email and a password. You can use the same email as your main account, but the PBE account itself is new and separate. Do not share it with anyone, because sharing can get it suspended permanently.
How to play TFT PBE on PC?
A separate PBE client is no longer needed. Sign in to the Riot Client with your PBE account, select League of Legends, click the small arrow to the right of the Play button and choose League of Legends PBE. TFT is launched from there until the separate TFT client comes out.
How to play TFT PBE on Android?
Create a PBE account first. Then install the Teamfight Tactics PBE app from Google Play on your phone and sign in with the PBE account, not your main one.
How to play TFT PBE on iPhone?
On iOS, the PBE app is installed through Apple TestFlight. There are only 10 000 spots, and once they are full, sign-ups close until Riot resets the participants, which happens at least once per set. If you did not get in, play the PBE on PC or Android.
What to do if TFT PBE will not let you sign in?
An error about a region mismatch means you signed in to the PBE app with your main account, so sign in with the PBE account instead. The App not available error on iOS appears when the email on your phone differs from the one in your PBE sign-up. Check the email at the top of the TestFlight screen and reload.
Why is there a login queue or why is TFT PBE down?
When a new set or a big patch lands on the PBE, too many players sign in at once and you wait in a login queue. When the server is full, the queue timer may stop updating. The PBE is also updated almost every day, so the servers go down for maintenance for an hour or two.
Why is ping high on TFT PBE and what are the rules?
PBE servers are in North America, so outside it the ping is higher than usual. The same rules apply as in the live game, and a ban on the PBE also bans your main account. You do not need to buy anything, a repeatable mission gives RP for the test content. Bug reports and feedback are accepted in English only.
When does the PBE for a new TFT set open?
A new set lands on the PBE a few weeks before release. The Set 18 PBE opened on July 28, 2026 and lasted 4 weeks. Release dates of upcoming sets and patches are on the TFT release dates page.
