How the meta picks are chosen

Where the data comes from

The meta view is built from real ranked solo queue matches pulled from the Riot Games API. Players are sampled across regions and ranks, their recent games are read and filtered to the current patch, and the top champions of each lane are aggregated by win rate and pick rate.

How the ranking works

Each lane shows the champions that both win often and are picked widely, since that combination is what defines the current meta. The win rate is wins over games and the pick rate is the share of games in the lane, and the highest of each lane sit on top.

The meta is a snapshot of the current patch and shifts with balance changes and sample size. Comfort picks and strong matchups can still beat the meta in your own games.
