What to do if TFT shows a black screen?

Restart the Riot Client and then the PC. Run the Riot Client as administrator, update Windows and your graphics driver, and close overlays such as Discord, OBS and Steam before starting a game.

Why does TFT need Vanguard?

On PC, TFT does not start without the Riot Vanguard anti-cheat. It starts together with Windows, so after installing or re-enabling it you need to restart the PC. Error VAN9001 on Windows 11 means TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot must be turned on in the BIOS.

What to do if a TFT match will not load?

Close the game and the Riot Client completely, then start them again, and the client will offer to reconnect you to the match in progress. If it happens again, try a clean boot of Windows and temporarily turn off your firewall and antivirus to see whether they block the connection.

How to reinstall TFT if nothing helps?

Run the Riot Repair Tool first. If the problem stays, uninstall the game, delete the Riot Games folder on the system drive and the League of Legends folder in %localappdata%, then install the game again.

What to do if TFT on mobile shows a black screen?

If the loading screen stays black or white after a lost connection, close the app completely and open it again. If the game sends you back to the login screen, force close it as well. When a restart does not help, reinstall the app.

TFT needs at least an iPhone 6S on iOS, or Android 7 with 2 GB of RAM, OpenGL 3 and a 64-bit processor.
