How this tier list is built
Where the data comes from
This raid tier list is built from real boss kill logs for the current raid, enriched with character data. For every damage, healing, and tank specialization we read the damage or healing done on each boss, the average item level, and how often the spec appears in raid logs, which is its pick rate. Extreme outlier parses are capped so a few unusual kills cannot skew the averages.
How tiers are assigned
Each spec is ranked by two factors measured only on raid encounters. Performance compares the spec average output against the strongest spec in its own role, so damage dealers are judged against damage dealers, healers against healers, and tanks against tanks. Popularity compares its raid pick rate against an even share among all specs in the role. Reaching S or A needs both strong output and real raid representation, while weaker results fall to B, C, and finally D.
These raid placements are a snapshot of the current tier and move with patches, class tuning, and how many logs each spec has. Treat them as a guide for the raid as a whole, not a fixed ranking for every individual boss.
