• Lich King (Ruler) is one of — if not the most versatile unit in the game. Lich King (Ruler) is ranked very highly in the utility tier, and that will likely remain the case thanks to its World Item ability, Caloric Stone, which lets you open a list and place any one unit you own. This alone means Lich King (Ruler) effectively covers an extra team slot, giving him almost no real downside when included in a team. it does have other World Items, but since Caloric Stone is the one you’ll be using most of the time, they’re less important to focus on here. Lich King (Ruler) also has extremely useful spells through Arcane Knowledge, allowing him to support your team in different ways depending on the elements you bring. Some notable spells include Paralysis & Cyclone, as they’re relatively easy to obtain and provide strong support simply by having Lich King (Ruler) placed and meeting the conditions. Another spell worth mentioning is Aura of the Overlord, which provides an immense buff to allies in range while also granting some cost reduction. Its conditions are harder to meet, but it’s definitely a spell that is worth mentioning. These two spells mentioned (Paralysis & Cyclone) are recommended as they’re usually the most realistic options when using Lich King (Ruler), but it’s worth looking further into its other World Items and spells to fully understand its potential.
